Kovar is a nickel-cobalt based iron alloy. This alloy is a controlled expansion alloy uses for ceramic and glass metal seals. Kovar is produced to deal with microwave, semi-conductor, computer and other aerospace and space applications. Kovar is generally very stable down to low temperatures.
