Alloy 20

Alloy 20 is an austenitic iron-base alloy, with excellent corrosion resistance. When comparing costs between this alloy and other higher cost alloys, the selection of Alloy 20 could result in a cost savings based on whether this alloy can meet the necessary resistance. Such applications are limited to a max temp of 1000°F per the ASME specification.

Using traditional methods Alloy 20 can either be cold or hot worked. Resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, this alloy is an excellent option. Welding this alloy can be done through MIG, TIG and SAW (submerged arc welding).

Alloy 20 is available in round bar (hot and cold finished), tubing, sheet and plate. Call Michlin Metals today for any of your metal needs. Can’t find what you are looking for on the site, call Michlin today or check this page for more metal.
