AL6XN ® – is an austenitic stainless steel. In addition, AL6XN has a low level of carbon. Designed to be used in marine applications, it also works well in very corrosive environments. Although it’s certainly not a “cheap” option, it’s more cost effective than other nickel based alloys where strength, corrosion resistance and formability are required.
