440F Se Stainless steel is a high carbon chromium steel. This alloy is designed to provide standard stainless steel properties with high hardness. After heat treatment that hardness is estimated around HRC 60. When comparing to other free machining grades this alloy is useful in applications that require machined parts with a higher hardness values.
