321 Stainless Steel is an austenitic stainless steel that is stabilized with titanium. 321 also contains chromium as well as nickel and in addition to the titanium, provides improved inter-granular corrosion resistance. 321 in non-magnetic w/similar corrosion resistance to type 304. This material is used for welded equipment that can’t be annealed. In addition, it’s used for equipment that is operated between 800 and 1500°F.
