13-8 Stainless Steel is a martensitic, high strength stainless steel with good corrosion resistance, toughness that is capable of achieving high hardness levels.

13-8PH MO shows good ductility and resistance to stress-corrosion cracking.

13-8 Has excellent properties which are obtained through close control of microstructure and chemical composition. In addition, 13-8 has excellent properties due in part to specialized melting which reduces the amount of impurities. 13-8 can be age hardened in a single low temp heat treatment. In addition, 13-8PH also good fabrication characteristics. The controlled chemical composition and microstructure in addition to the special melting practices during manufacturing allows 13-8 to uphold very good mechanical properties when applied in harsh environments.

It can be age-hardened through low temperature treatment and cold worked prior to increase the aging, especially when aging occurs at lower temperatures. 13-8PH is capable of high strength and hardness alongside strong levels of resistance to corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.

13 -8 can be furnished in many different heat treated conditions: H900, H950, H1000, H1050, and H1100.
