Inconel 625 Round Bar is one of the more common grades of Inconel round bar that is supplied. Round Bar carries an AMS 5666 specification. Inconel 625 can be used in a variety of applications. Inconel 625 has high strength, fabricates extremely well and has tremendous corrosion resistance. The range of temperatures viable for Inconel 625 start as low as cryogenic and go up to 1800°F.

Some applications that suit Inconel 625 are Sea Water, Aerospace and Chemical Processing. Regarding Sea Water Inconel 625 is a common selection because of it’s excellent corrosion resistance, fatigue strength and high tensile strength. Not to mention it has great resistance to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking. Propeller blades, submarine motors and sheathing for undersea cables are good applications of Inconel 625 and once a certain minimum diameter is crossed the bar becomes wire, and in this case that wire can be used for mooring cables.

Inconel 625 is great in aerospace as well where environmental constraints, such as atmosphere, temperature, pressure all play important roles where material is concerned. Alloy 625 has significantly high tensile, creep, and rupture strength, in addition, it has excellent thermal fatigue and oxidation resistance and weldability, which make it suitable for aerospace.
