Inconel 718, Alloy 718, or UNS N07718 …. Is a nickel based, high strength, corrosion resistant,
precipitation hardening alloy.
It is used in applications requiring high strength, creep resistance, and / or corrosion resistance
at temperatures that range from cryogenic to 1800 deg F. It is non magnetic at room
temperature.
Aerospace applications require premium quality vacuum melting methods
Solution treatment is in the range of 1700 to 1950 deg F followed by rapid cooling.
Precipitation heat treatment times and temperatures are dependent on specified requirements.
Material is typically solution treated by the producing mill and precipitation treatments are most
often performed during manufacture of parts.

Don’t forget, check the specs.
