What’s up guys? Michael with Metals in a Minute. Incoloy 800 or in generic form, alloy 800 is an alloy consisting primarily of Iron, Nickel and Chromium. The Incoloy name applies when the material is produced by Special Metals
UNS designation is N08800 Nominal composition is 45% Fe, 32.5% Ni, 21% Cr, .38% Ti, and .38% Al.
It is an austenitic solid solution alloy that cannot be strengthened by heat treatment and is not
magnetic. This alloy is typically used where enhanced corrosion or oxidation resistance compared to
stainless alloys is required and at temperatures where the strength of the higher nickel alloys is
not needed. Check the Specs!!!
