AMS 5845 is a specification for MP35N. This material is a Cobalt based high strength corrosion resistant alloy. Primary constituents are Cobalt, Nickel, Chromium, and Molybdenum with a UNS
designation of R30035. It is used in applications that require corrosion resistance, high strength, ductility, toughness, and resistance to fatigue. Vacuum Induction Melting followed by Consumable Electrode Vacuum Melting is required.
Product to this specification is in the form of Bars in the solution treated, cold worked, and aged condition. 260 KSI minimum tensile strength is required by this specification. Don’t forget to….Check the specs!!
