AMS 5586 is a specification for Waspaloy. Nickel based, the UNS designation is N07001.
This alloy is primarily composed of Nickel, Chromium, Cobalt, Molybdenum, Titanium, and Aluminum. Typical applications are for components requiring high strength at temperatures as high as 1500 deg F or oxidation resistance at temperatures as high as 1750 deg F.
Multiple melting with at least one melt under vacuum is required. Product supplied to this specification is in the form of welded tubing in the annealed condition.
