What’s up guys?!?!?! This is Michael with Michael Talks Metal. Well in this case we’re still talkin aluminum and sooooo…..Our next aluminum alloy commonly used in aerospace applications is 7050.

For review of our prior video on Aluminum temper designations…….. click here.

7050 is a high strength alloy available in all common mill products and several tempers. It has high strength and good machinability but only fair general corrosion resistance and anodizing ability.  Most often used in the various T7xxx stress corrosion and exfoliation resistant tempers. Its UNS designation is UNS A97050.
